Animation!


A world full of cars, Animals fleeing out of the zoo, Toys coming to life, Robots coming from the future through a time machine to help a hopeless boy, A house floating in the sky, superheros coming from parallel universe... and so many more. Bam! my childhood was fueled with animated content (movies, tv shows, cartoons) which, I still remember, elevated my level of imagination and quality of my dreams (both day and night) to a whole new level. And I'll be honest, they still do! (yes i still watch animated content). 
But more than all of that, animation has this power to take you and your intellect, to a whole new place, by showing visuals and worlds that are larger than life, and beyond our thinking. For example, the visuals shown in films like UP, Soul, WALL-E,(by Pixar Animation Studios) the comic book feel and original style of Spider-Man : Into the Spider-Verse (by Sony pictures entertainment) the aesthetics and deep storyline of Isle Of Dogs, Fantastic Mr.Fox (directed by Wes Anderson). are some of the films that inspire me. 
I don't mean to say that live action feature films are boring or not exciting, they have their own impact. Fiction Films like Interstellar, inception, are not completely animated but they have and have a sense of realism and physical human presence, which remains absent in animated films. When an animated film starts, we instantly feel that "oh! this is going to be something different" as the animation style always differs from one film to another, according to the story. Which something unique that I observe when I watch them.
To be honest a huge galaxy of Japanese animation is still unexplored by me, thus I will not throw much light in that direction (due to my incomplete knowledge)
 And if you(yes you) have stopped watching animated films just because of their childishness, I will encourage you to explore films made by the legendary Japanese animator Hayao Miyazaki. And also consider watching the films that I have highlighted above, and watch them with an open minded attitude, I guarantee you, you will definitely find something inspiring and unique ;P.

  Hello! This is an update. I know I haven't posted anything in a while. The reason you ask? well, I was just too lazy to post. So I'm currently studying product design. I'm in my second year. Honestly, I don't know what I will post on my blog in the future. When I started posting, I intended to share my thoughts through words.  So basically there was no direction and vision for this blog. And I still have no idea about it.  When I read my older posts, I realised I used a lot of text and very few visuals. Cold start.

  Here we go again. Second year, semester 4. My jury is done. It was really different.  Now, I've a theory paper on 1st May (the day after tomorrow) No, I have not started studying. The subject is product semiotics. But that is different from the subject of today. I have lost control of how my brain functions. I need to swim in the direction I want to be, but I feel I've left myself just floating into randomness. And it bloody sucks. I hate it really bad.  My brain currently does not want to stay in line with what I want to do. I don't even know if it makes sense, but it is true.   I am in love with bicycles again, but I'm not able to PHYSICALLY do anything about it. All I'm left with is some hints of visualisations in my mind. I mean I hold a pencil and start sketching, but the mental process just stops, and I'm left with nothing.
